The burn time of a soy wax jar candle such as the Ember & Oak Black Wax Pumpkin & Spice candle is typically between 60 and 80 hours, though this can fluctuate depending on how consistently you allow it to burn – ideally leaving at least three centimetres of wax intact.

On your initial burn, allow the candle to extinguish itself naturally. This is important for establishing a full melt pool across the surface of the black wax; without this, tunnelling may occur which can waste more of the fragrance material. Ensure the wick isn’t too long.
