A 220g jar of soy wax candle is typically designed for around 30-50 hours of burn time, assuming a normal burning rate. This varies depending on the wick and how consistently you allow it to burn – always leaving at least 1cm of wax visible.

On your initial burn, allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire surface of the wax to melt evenly. This helps prevent tunnelling – where the wick draws wax away from the edges of the jar. A full melt-down is key to a good, even burn.
