The longevity of a single wax melt depends on the heat source and room temperature. Generally, you can expect one melt to burn for approximately 15-20 hours using a standard tealight warmer. The soy wax provides a consistent burn but factors like airflow affect duration.

For optimal performance, allow each wax melt to burn for at least 3-4 hours during its initial burn. This ‘tunnelling’ prevents a small reservoir of unburnt wax from forming near the base of the tin, which can lead to an uneven subsequent burns and a shorter overall lifespan.
