How long does a candle this size usually last?

Given its 160g size, this Fenland Wax Co. candle is designed for relatively frequent burning. You can expect approximately 15-20 hours of burn time on average, provided you allow the wax pool to melt fully to the edges of the jar each time.

What should I do on the first burn?

Always trim the wick to about 3mm before lighting your new candle. Allow the flame to burn for at least two hours – this 'proper' burn helps establish a full melt pool across the surface of the rapeseed wax, preventing tunnelling and ensuring an even fragrance throw.

About this candle

Rose geranium gives you most of the rose character at a fraction of the cost of rose absolute, and palmarosa extends it with a grassier, lemony lift. Honest floral rather than perfumed floral. The 160g size burns through faster than the 200g jars elsewhere in this category, so it is not the value pick.

Frequently Asked Questions

Geranium & Palmarosa candles, like many essential oil blends, tend to have a more focused odour profile. In a larger room – say over 400 square feet – you’ll likely find the fragrance is most noticeable close by the candle. A smaller room of around 150 sq ft will experience a stronger scent.
