How long does a candle this size usually last?

Soy wax tealights burn relatively cleanly and consistently. You can typically expect each candle to burn for approximately 15-20 hours, giving you several weeks of use with a pack of twenty. The burn time will vary depending on the ambient temperature.

What should I do on the first burn?

Allow each tealight to burn for at least two hours before extinguishing. This ‘proper’ initial burn is important; it creates a full melt pool across the wax, which ensures an even and consistent fragrance throw throughout its subsequent burns. Avoid drafts.

About this candle

Twenty tealights is enough for daily use over a couple of months, and the scent is a restrained creamy sandalwood rather than the heavy incense treatment the category usually gets. The clear cups look cheap next to the aluminium-free paper versions, but they burn cleanly and leave very little wax behind.

Frequently Asked Questions

The sandalwood fragrance from these tealights is described as restrained. A single candle will provide noticeable aroma within a medium-sized room, but for larger spaces, you’d likely need multiple candles to achieve a more pronounced effect. Consider placement near an open doorway.
